Sex Pistols coming to town. Probably a good idea to get someone in the band under 65.

Not only is Tyler Rohr an incredibly good scientist but he is also revealing some solid stand-up comedian skills to explain Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement to the Tasmanian public. 🤩

So good to have him at IMAS!

Someone commented about US Christians on this post then blocked me.

Criticism of the Taliban and supporting the rights of women in Afghanistan should be a No.1 priority for the left, especially when it's this stupid. Very happy to also criticise Christians too, it's not an either/or situation

Obviously there is content moderation here, but it is pretty cool you can just switch it off in settings
It’s funny to me that the lib alternative to this is BlueSky where there is no content moderation

Censorship is always imposed by the powerful.

It aims to squash minority opinions and it is anti progress.

I don't make the rules.

Meta says fact-checkers at Facebook and Instagram turned into censors. It had to end.

I do think it is kind of incredible the President is talking about invading Greenland, Panama and acquiring Canada and no one really thinks for a moment he is serious because he talks 100% nonsense all day

This guy thinks he's left wing when he's just a violent misogynistic ableist clown. If the left isn't better than the right then there is no reason for it to exist.

I must say I am delighted that a bunch of the world's worst people blocked me for following Jesse Singal - the entire reason I followed him was to weed those fucks out so I didn't have to encounter them

Research from Pew on X suggests it's more balanced than people here make out, but lefties feel like their views are less welcome now. However they also report feeling free to express themselves.

Some scientists believe that consciousness is actually bound up in quantum entanglement

So if this chip was using computation power from the multiverse, maybe that's how our weak, underpowered biological brains are so powerful?

They're borrowing computation power from a multitude of brains?

Multiverse confirmed. Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast.

Google announced its latest quantum chip, Willow. But what really caught the industry's attention was a wild claim tucked into the blog post.

MVRV-Z score basically looks at the current price of Ethereum and compares it to how much it was actually bought for. It's lower than it was in March when ETH was last at these prices, meaning it likely can go up quite a bit more.
