Amazingly short-sighted. May all of those blocking this type of work get C.diff. If the new vaccine passes trials it would be a game changer in combatting a horrible and very common disease.

There is comparable long-standing list maintained by the office of research at UC Berkeley with early career funding opportunities. You might want to cross-check with what they have listed. They have been doing this for >15 yrs.

Sorry to hear this. Not the first and won’t be the last. Protect the trainees as best you can. They have the fewest resources to weather these storms.
