And, I think some of our choice to not engage has everything to do with brain chemistry. Modern science tells us there’s much more benefit to the doom scrolling than the singular engagements, likely because of the massive dopamine hits involved.

Same, and very nearly similar for me on FB. I’m getting about 15 garbage posts/ad’s per post from actual person or account I care about. Sometimes it’s far worse.
