Inktober Day 2 - SPIDERS. Got the dip pen out for this one. Pen and ink is hard! Maybe I should pick up the classic Guptill book about it. They sure knew how to handle a pen back then.

I've been wanting to level up my drawing skills, so earlier this year I signed up for a book illustration course at my local adult learning college. Our first assignment was to draw Frida Kahlo, which proved much more interesting than I was expecting.

I drew two comics for two wonderful UK competitions this summer! The First Graphic Novel Award, and the Observer/Faber/Comica Graphic Short Story Prize. Had my eye on these comps for years, this year finally felt ready. Comics are under wraps for now, but looking forward to sharing at a later date.
