I don’t think we can feel relieved by this. While he bluffed hard on this, he continues to erode democracy and test the limits through a shock and awe campaign of crazy shit. He has learned what he needed to learn in this, but the annexation threat can’t be seen as over.

I think we have to be careful about feeling relieved. Shock and awe, then we feel relieved, meanwhile he’s completely just moved the goal posts on what is normal.
