Microsoft's own research confirms something that was already pretty obvious: relying on a text generating machine to come up with answers erodes critical thinking, and is a method favoured by those who never liked doing critical thinking in the first place

Been 10 years but I do love this, read it to my wife as a bedtime story. She was bemused! www.newyorker.com/humor/daily-...

I was shooting heroin and reading “The Fountainhead” in the front seat of my privately owned police cruiser when a call came in.

A great obituary from Howard, Lopa and Aoife. Agnes was an amazing @ucu.org.uk branch chair and national delegate and active across APM and in areas I was fighting. I am now APM officer and miss her advice and help, she would have been on UoN Senate for sure.

Starting on Bluesky! I'm busy doing my job at University of Nottingham, including being elected to Senate and Council, committee member of the UoN UCU branch, and Labour Party member in Gedling. I make Lego and mod video games in my spare time.
