You can also try booting into recovery mode and in terminal type in: resetpassword
This should pull up a window which should let you set a new password to an account

You can try booting into recovery mode, open terminal and type: cd /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/var/db/
Than: rm .AppleSetupDone

This will make your Mac go through the setup process again, and it should ( I think) let you create a new user account
