Phylogenetic endemism is best to maximise global phylogenetic diversity in the smallest area, and spatial scaling of phylogenetic uniqueness identifies globally distinct but regionally less unique sites (evolutionary hills), from highly irreplaceable sites even at small scales (evolutionary islands)
