The temple survived. Mostly. But more importantly, the setites inside survived! Mostly.

No one within expected volleys of thunder and metal to rip through the building. Had the Sheriff accounted for the superior fortitude of his prince and the armor-like scales of the Setite fighters? Or was he just as surprised survivors within mopping up their stunned enemies? We may never know.

Inside the temple, gleaming swords clashed, serpent tongues lashed, and hungry fangs found vulnerable flesh. Outside the temple, sheriff Lucas Obertus organized waves of riflemen and small canons, took aim at the Setite temple, and opened fire. Bullets and shrapnel ripped through ally and foe alike.

Not THAT kind of power! You see this Sheriff was actually the descendant of a powerful Tzimisce currently rebuilding the great Library of Alexandria. He had been sent to the Balkans to defend a revenant family. Instead of dying as expected he returned with a caravan of cousins, a loyal army and….

It came down to a scant few warrior Setites, a single Ventrue and his well trained (yet mortal) ghouls against a dozen deadly Assamites with acidic blood. But the prince had one final ace up his sleeve: The new Sheriff surrounded the building with soldiers wielding an astonishing new power.

At first the battle is nearly equal after the Toreador keeper outside detected and neutralized the Assamites’ sorcerer before being incapacitated when a bolt of lightning meant to light the temple on fire strikes him instead. Still, how long could they last against a gang of deadly assassins?

Two assassination attempts and one captured spy later, now Prince Baboucar has decided to get on the offensive, luring the enemy in by placing all their targets in one location: the setite temple. Though he also surround the temple with his troops above ground, with Tzimisce below to cut off escape.

So what’s an aspiring Ventrue to do when a clan refuses to comply with his rules? He enlists the help of a Necromancer and the local Tzimisce to round up every Assamite they can find and deliver them to the Viziers in smaller and smaller packages. The Assamites respond: “Oh, now it’s on sight!”

So you’re saying there’s a job opening in NYC?
