Agreed. They should charge passengers who want to bring suitcases into the cabin.

Recently finished an audiobook about the Roosevelts during the war years. Amazing couple with incredible ideas who truly wanted to make the United States a better place for everyone. I fully support a Second Bill of Rights!

All of these are important, but I am particularly passionate about true Universal Healthcare. Not Medicare for All. No supplemental private insurance. We all pay into the same, single pool. All services are covered (cosmetic procedures excepted). Any general practitioner or specialist. Nothing less.

If Europe—who stands to lose the most if Putin succeeds—can supply Ukraine with weapons, ammunition, funds and sanctions against Russia, then there is a decent chance that Ukraine could expel Russian troops from all occupied territories. They must try!

I love and support light rail and trains, but I admit that it would be useful for many (elderly/disabled) people to have a readily accessible autonomous vehicle that can take them from their home to the train station.

However, AI in health care could bring real risks:
• Massive data-privacy concerns
• Bias and unequal access
• Over-automation that feels impersonal
• Opaque decisions about your health

Strong safeguards are essential so AI expands care—not inequality or confusion.

AI could reshape health care through:
• Faster, earlier diagnoses
• Personalized treatment tuned to you
• AI handles admin so clinicians focus on care
• Continuous monitoring that catches issues early

Done right, it makes medicine more human, not less.

At this point, since the damage has already been done, my concern lies with the build quality of this “ballroom”. Since the “leader” of this regime has a poor real estate track record, I’m worried that the public will end up with a less-than-stellar final result (that we cannot access anyway).

“The meek shall inherit the Earth.” While it may appear that Trump & Co hold all of the cards, this is surely not the case. As sophomoric as this sounds, there are more of us than there are of them. Whether it is in the voting booth or otherwise, we The People, hold the long term power! Stay strong!

“Trump administration aims to provoke” is the key phrase. Do not react to his taunts. He wants violence and disorder; any excuse to institute the Insurrection Act and call for Martial Law. I know it’s easier said than done, but peaceful protest must be the order of the day. Hold strong!

It continues to stun—but not surprise—me how short-sighted and callous these administration tools are when their direct actions will harm the lives of their children, grandchildren and beyond. It’s seems but a wish at this moment, but the U.S. needs to think ahead in 100-year time frames.

The Trump regime would love nothing more than to see protesters engage in unprovoked violence. It would give him an excuse to declare an emergency and institute Martial Law. After that, you can kiss midterms and presidential elections goodbye. 😕

AI doesn’t need to be “super” to change the world in the next decade. 🌍
Think: faster disease detection, personalized learning, precision farming, smarter energy grids, disaster warnings, accessible tech for all, & new scientific breakthroughs—if guided by ethics & equity. We can make it happen.

Great show! I’d be willing to bet that the FCC is trolling Apple with their “accidental” leaks. Also, as much as I like and am impressed with the Vision Pro, Apple definitely needs to focus more on “smart” glasses (with, hopefully, dual displays). 😁

Also, should these essential data centers become publicly owned utilities?! 🤔

Does AES use renewables? Or, are they wreaking further havoc on our shared climate by burning more coal and oil? Will the Trump regime only approve this purchase if BlackRock/AES uses fossil fuels? 😡

IF a rag-tag group of intelligent and thoughtful people EVER regain control of Congress, they must legislate Citizens United into oblivion, dismantle the Electoral College, institute ranked choice voting at all levels, explore Sortition, and finally establish true single payer healthcare.

Criminally underrated band.

This philosophy of “common good” is foundational. Tied closely to this is a question we should all be asking ourselves: what kind of person do I want to be in society? Furthermore: what kind of world do I want to live in?
September 14, 2025 at 5:29 AM
Well, I hope so. Fossil fuels are “one and done,” and result in the creation of clearly harmful particulates. With our current—and rapidly evolving—technology, we can eliminate these devices that rely on burning stuff to move objects.

A.C.B.—and those who think like her—seem to live in a different reality. Their humanity and philosophy clearly weren’t shaped by growing up in the same United States I did. Though they often hide behind “stare decisis,” any trace of common sense or decency has been tossed out the window.

Health insurance—in any form—must cease to exist. A doctor and patient must be able to work together directly. A proper, progressive tax structure should be able to fund single-payer. And, Universal Healthcare must comprehensively include vision, dental, psychiatric, and preventative services.
