I quit all meta products last week and I was never on twitter or Tiktok. I all of a sudden feel like I have way more time and focus! Will delete bluesky and pixelfed of my phone too and just use it on the pc! Peace of mind has a new meaning without social media.

Well, Bland is not so active anymore and Efnissalan probably won't help me sell my used hiking stuff :D

People don't hear you until it affects them personally. I've been trying since FB stopped fact checking and it does nothing. The most common answer I'm getting is "oh it won't affect me here in Iceland". Just wait and see. It will affect us all.

Craigslist in an American thing. In Iceland, FB marketplace is the only place to sell and buy used goods. I left FB this week and it's HARD!

They already have a small base here. The US army was here from WWII to 2005 when we politely asked them to leave (and take McDonalds with them) and since then they only have a small "monitoring" base here. I hate it and I want them out completely 😫

I have a really slow heartbeat and I've always wondered, will I live longer because my heart is not "wasting" as many beats? I'll get back to you on that in 40-50 business years 😀

The cat with the diabetes was my friends cat, Tekno. He was already 14 when he deveolped diabetes and passed away last spring at 15 years old. We loved that cat so much and he had a great personality ❤️
