The game is really great — a genuinely good detective noir story (a rarity in the video games industry). The author of that article (who also reviewed the game) has a bizarre vendetta against it. He’s probably friends with the previous writers🤣.

Pandering to the far right (which “move to the center” is code for) is the last thing Germany needs. A quick search of Hoyer’s writing shows a trove of AfD appeasement pieces.

By “get what he wants”, do you mean fake investment “commitments”, decreased trade volume and increased prices for consumers worldwide?

a powerful read. you’re in our thoughts🫂. as a german with the weight of our history on my soul, i’ll say this to the folks who voted for tr*mp: you won’t enjoy living under fascism. you’ll end up poorer, more afraid and more alone. it breaks my heart and my brain. yet — this too shall pass.

+1. It’s like THE FLY meets REQUIEM FOR A DREAM-level of discomfort, body horror and needle work plus the cold fury of PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN. I took my wife to a midnight screening last night and she will never forgive me.

So cool. I loved the book. Read it in a week, just couldn’t stop.

So sorry to hear that! My experience was the exact opposite. I felt it was a beautiful resolution to an amazing season of television that even managed to harmoniously fold back onto the first season 🖤.

didn’t love the movie and this is something that stuck out to me. nolan seemed to have been a lot more preoccupied with redemption for oppenheimer than the real impact of the choices he made.
