The Legend of the Last Library by Frank L. Cole—Fun middle grade fiction in a world where paper and books are rare. Lots of interesting ideas about the role of technology. Back of the book discussion questions included. #kidlit #librarysky 📚👍🏻

So glad this book is still available through my public library! THE WATCHER by Jeanette Winter, published in 2011 by Schwartz & Wade, Random House Children’s, is a lovely book to introduce young children to some of Jane Goodall’s discoveries. 📚👍🏻 #kidlit #edusky

I love this cozy early chapter book series, The Heartwood Hotel by Kallie George, illustrated by Stephanie Graegin. The latest, Family Forever, includes a birthday related mystery. Not for every kid but for nature or animal lovers, an absorbing escape from our screen based world. #kidlit 📚👍🏻 #edusky

Love this chapter book, Amina Banana and the Formula for Friendship, about a Syrian girl finding her place in a new country and school! Important underlying themes of kindness and not being afraid to be yourself. Good for read alouds with class discussion. #kidlit #chapterbooks #eduskyprimary

What a fun treasure hunt and mystery in The Last Chance Academy: A Study in Secrets by @debbimichiko.bsky.social! I really liked the friendship issues, how the kids worked them out and learned trust. A good classroom book! #MG #kidlit #edusky 📚👍🏻 #childrensbooks

This verse MG novel, All the Blues in the Sky by Renee Watson, about a teen grieving the loss of her best friend is so good! Excellent book to remind young people about getting through the hard parts of life, giving yourself grace and hope. #kidlit 📚👍🏻 #mg #ya #edusky

Just read this sweet picture book,SUNDAY RAIN, illustrated by Amariah Rauscher, written by Rosie J. Pova. It’s about rain and imagination. This would be a nice one for an early years read aloud, followed up by drawing things to do on a rainy day or types of weather. 📚👍🏻 #kidlit #primarysky #edusky

I just finished SWEETY by Andrea Zuill. Not sure how I missed this when it first came out but it’s funny and cute and a great book for celebrating what makes you unique. It will be a nice read aloud for those first few getting-to-know-you weeks of school. 👍🏻📚 #kidlit #primaryedusky #edusky

I don’t often read graphic novels, but I loved HOW TO TALK TO YOUR SUCCULENT by Zoe Persico. It’s the story of a girl coping with grief, moving to a new place and making new friends. A good book for those kids who might be struggling with something they aren’t able to talk about. 📚👍🏻 #kidlit #edusky

I love watching what comes to my yard too. This week I saw a praying mantis in my garden (haven't seen one in ages).

This MG stays in your thoughts long after you’ve finished it. A powerful story that could help kids get through tragedy: PLEASE PAY ATTENTION by Jamie Sumner. Good pick for a kids reading club. 📚👍🏻 #kidlit #MG #edusky
