Big cuts to NASA's science budget. And the language about "putting a man on Mars" caught my attention.

NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman is holding a moon tree. The seed of this loblolly pine circled the moon on NASA’s uncrewed Artemis I mission.

The tree will be planted at the Capitol during Texas Space Day 2027. Zilker Botanical Garden Conservancy will take care of it until then.

I love this image shared by NASA! Astronauts get creative with celebrating the holidays in space. They made a reindeer out of items found on the International Space Station:

Fun fact: Firefly Aerospace named its lunar lander after a rare firefly species found in the Southeastern U.S.

I got to see the lander today! It will soon leave Texas and head to Florida for liftoff.

Another Texas company is preparing to launch its lunar lander!

Firefly Aerospace is preparing to send its Blue Ghost lander to Florida. It's slated to launch in mid-January and will then take about 45 days to reach the moon.
