I'm 55 and I've never been to Disneyland, Disneyworld or any other major theme park. My childhood family fun trips were all camping and cross country skiing. It was great and I've never felt I missed out on anything.

I've always liked how the opening line in Watership Down, "The primroses were over," is mirrored in the closing line. "...where the first primroses were beginning to bloom." The end is a beginning.

I'm on day 527 of French. I took French in school, grades 4-12, and one class in university (in 1991). I was surprised how much I still remembered but I still find it way easier to read than to understand it spoken.

My Canadian history class in high school, ~1986, we were learning about the October crisis and "just watch me," and the teacher also told us about "fuddle fuddle" and the pirouette, if I recall.

I did use "night sight," but it didn't pick up any of Betelgeuse's redness. I will have to play around with it the next time I get a good night sky.
