Just a couple of days before the launch!
What started as some unique textures became a sprawling assemble of treasure chest modules ;)
Extra flexibility is always appreciated when doing some set-dressing to reduce the repetition ^^

Time to choose a thumbnail for my next piece!
Each of them has its own benefits and I'd like your opinion on them if you spare the time ^^
Currently also considering trying out new fonts for the title and trying to find a new one that is both interesting and readable 😅

Collisions and Lods can take a while but without them, most scenes would not be explorable while keeping good performances 😉

Unreal's auto-lod system is very approachable and collisions just need to avoid convex shapes 😊

Clip Curve in Zbrush, offered more control compared to nodes but that could also be a result of me not being experienced enough with them 😋
Having hard and chunky edges is the main reason for their look, Sea of Thieves has a similar style albeit with a more painterly look 🙂

Creating a scene from scratch without using a concept is always a challenge 😑
But it can be good practice for when you don't see a part of a concept, set dressing an environment, add your spin to a design or just to try out new things!

Texturing done! Now for final details ^^
Why not add a small Bill Cypher hidden in the scene? 🔺👁️

Had a bit of time to start working on the Bake 😁
And I'd like an opinion on how to best proceed going forward 🙏
With a unique piece would be best to forgo part of it for the sake of a better-looking UV layout or would it be better to have a fully unique bake?

Sculpt Update 6 😃
Sculpting all the planks and beams has been a ton of fun!
The piece is still missing some polishing & details here and there before UVs 😉

Huge thanks to @tomcalcoen.bsky.social and the other artists who prevented this project from becoming a mediocre prop through tips & feedback 🙏
