Wow it's nine years since Trepalium, a French TV miniseries, was first broadcast. In a dystopian near future, unemployed people are flung on life's scrapheap and denied basic services. I found it too upsetting to watch www.imdb.com/title/tt4333...

Despite the very wet conditions, we attended to this swan earlier today at Skelton Lake, reported to be carrying a fishing hook through the bird’s beak. The swan was rescued, the tackle safely removed, and the animal returned to the water a short time later.
