Von Der Leyen & Kallas perform outrage at the killing of civilians at food distribution points. Not at the human-made starvation of Gaza, nor at the mass slaughter on daily display for nearly two years. The 'outrage' expressed by EU leaders is distasteful & disrespectful to Palestinians' suffering.

Today yet again dozens of starving Gazans were being slaughtered and Israel bombed Syria & Lebanon. EU Foreign Ministers' response was to wave the crowd on: "Nothing to see here."
Utterly grotesque.

Over the coming week we'll hear a fair bit about the EU and its Association Agreement with Israel, what is or isn't 'legally' possible within the AA, procedures, Articles and voting majorities. This is a distraction. To see why, everyone please frame this comment by Acsecnarf Albanese:

Why do some epistemic frameworks of scholarly 'orthodoxy' produce '#failure' in their scholarly & political Others? How is that failure elided so that it doesn't challenge orthodoxy but reproduces it, legitimizing the #epistemicide of alternatives?

Biden's reaction to the ICC arrest warrants for Netanyahu & Gallant is a 3-sentence statement which is *completely besides the point*. Western governments' defense of their morally, legally *and* geopolitically indefensible position undermines the 'modern state' itself.
