OK, so ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude can regurgitate answers found in a massive data pool. Yay, we've automated plagiarism! Universities, on the other hand, have been contributing to knowledge for nearly a thousand years - including AI. "Data" and knowledge are not synonyms.

Outside an IKEA sponsored cartoon for 6 years old, I never thought I'd read "kitchen cabinets" and "national security" in the same sentence - in all caps! It's a bit like "protectionism" and "free market"; they just don't go together very well...
