Finally, #jupiter crossed the 1 ExaFLOP/s threshold today. The list is lying to you, though, it's not like it's 1000 PFLOP/s exactly, it's 1000.184 PFLOP/s; the rest got lost to rounding.
The 184 TFLOP/s are pretty much exactly the same as the previous #jsc […]

Has anyone already determined the average coffee density at #sc25? Need to normalize to ICS* to align my coffee intake. #hpc**
*: International Coffee Standard
**: The C is for Coffee, of course

There a nonsensical performance metrics in computing – and then there’s “Gigawatts of Compute”. #hpc

My #sc25 is quite busy again this year. When I'm not contributing (see below), visiting vendors, or staffing our @fzj_jsc booth, I try to see as many sessions as possible (why are there so many interesting talks? And all at the same time!).

Contributions:
- Sunday: Multi-GPU Tutorial
- Monday […]

The good thing about generating tables and data in papers from machine-readable raw data is you can flexibly generate new stuff with different styles. The bad thing about generating tables and data from raw data is … options! So many!
(And complexity… revisiting the scripts for a paper revision […]

How about writing up something cool about testing #hpc systems? Or some exciting accelerator analysis?
We’ve just extended the deadline for submission to the #waccpd workshop at #sc25. And #hpctests is also still open. Both close on Friday, EOD!

JUPITER is in the TOP500! We didn’t manage to beat the exascale barrier just yet, but did pretty good in the timeframe! Happy to chat about #jupiter in the dedicated booth later! #hpc #exa_jupiter

Next week is #isc25 in Hamburg. When I'm not going to vendor meetings, staff #jsc/#JUPITER/project booths, or attend the technical program, I’ll have these contributions:
- Wed: NHR booth; Sofa Talk about GPU benchmarking
- Thu: EuroHPC booth; Talk about JUPITER
- Fri: Future of Benchmarks […]

Migrated my #zfs pool to a new machine and then replaced the drives with new ones, autoexpanding to the drives‘ new sizes. Worked like a charm. Magic!

Personal achievement: came back the nearly 700 km route from Easter vacation with only 2 charging stops. #ev
(I’m still pretty surprised how bad the car‘s route/distance planning is. The first stop was to be reached with 1% SoC left when we put the stop in; when we reached it, SoC was 10%.)
