I often wonder the same thing. :/ I wish people were more interested in the actual chemistry between characters than in what’s between their legs. And I say so as non-binary pansexual who enjoys M/M, F/F, F/M and whatnot.

What pisses me off the most is that there are FAR more problematic ships in the fandom (involving sexual assault, incest, you name it) and yet no one is even remotely picked on as Charlastor is. This is discrimination, pure and simple, and nothing good ever came from it.

So these “many, horrible things” are either not really that many or simply isolated cases that not even Charlastor shippers appreciate or support. As it does happen in almost every shipping community by the law of large numbers.

And speaking of these “MANY Charlastor shippers” doing horrible things: I’ve been a Charlastor shipper for a couple of years now and I only encountered 1 fan art that made my skin crawl. One. You know what I’m talking about, the one with Vaggies’s head on a wall.

Is it manipulative to ask people to stop harassing artists that did absolutely no harm over someone else’s actions?
