Best I've heard is that Odyssey/Bananza Pauline is a different Pauline than the OG blonde one.

Or Cranky's backstory isn't canon and the events of the arcade DK games are actually arcade games in-universe inspired by events with DK/Mario/Pauline 🤷

There are going to be, if not already, generations of people who are nostalgic for the GameCube controller having never touched an actual GameCube which fascinates me. I hope they consider releasing some of these in alternative colors in the future.

Comparing it with the 2X longer Mario Kart 8 Direct in the Wii U days, it's a bit underwhelming. I was disappointed they didn't save any "wow" moments for the direct. I was expecting at minimum a cool cutscene setpiece to kick it off given its scale

Melee port 🎮

Melee has its own ✨vibe✨ whereas Mario Kart Wii was the beginning of the "uniform era" of the Mario series. I just think about all the reflective surfaces 😖 Melee wasn't afraid to try new things and be so so weird in the best way.
