Waterfall Wednesday - Pistyll Rheaedr

This is a very impressive waterfall in Powys, Wales, with three drops over the 240 foot cliff face as it flows from Afon Rheaedr.

One of my favourite hiking routes in the Peak District includes Grindslow Clough, a fun circular which starts at Mam Tor crossing the Edale valley towards a nice little scramble up the Clough before hitting the highest point in the Peak District and the Kinder Scout plateau.

This was one of my favourite hikes from last year, it is definitely one that taught me a lot.
After a close call on the path at the top of Aber Falls, where the water flows over a mossy and icy path. Luckily I didn’t slip but I felt very close!

Lake District Trigs
I’ve been lucky enough to bag these four trig points in the Lake District National Park. It’s not a bad collection though with both Scafell Pike and Helvellyn in there!

🏔️First wales trip and first group hike of the year!! Sun shining, a nice bit of frost meant the boogy sections up top were easy to navigate and a little scramble down is always a bit of fun.
It’s going to be a year of Nuttall bagging, aiming for 20% (88) in 2025!

Yr Wyddfa

One of my favourite mountains in the UK, in the heart of the Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) Yr Wyddfa is the highest mountain in Wales stands at a towering 3,560 feet (1085m) and on a good day the trig point at the summit offers some amazing views.
