I decided to get an advent calendar based on my need for daily little treats. I’ve started it so I can recommend McCrea’s caramel advent calendar with 12 different flavors. It’s a MA company so I’m unsure of distribution but I got it at World Market. Cute box art by Angellize Rivera.

It’s a great time to review your heat safety! One of the hallmarks of heatstroke is when a person who is heavily sweating stops sweating.

Symptoms of Heat exhaustion include feeling faint or dizzy, excessive sweating, cool, pale, or clammy skin, nausea or vomiting, rapid, weak pulse, and muscle cramps. Heat exhaustion can be treated by getting to a cooler, air conditioned place, drinking water, and using cold compresses or cloths. Heat stroke is a medical emergency. Symptoms of heat stroke include throbbing headache, no sweating, body temperature above 103 degrees, nausea or vomiting, rapid, strong pulse, and loss of consciousness. Heat stroke is an emergency and you need to call 911 if someone is showing signs.

I got this frog charm when I was a teenager and it lives in my backpack. I take it on every trip and I feel like it brings me luck.

This is my sweet girl Binx
