About Clair Obscur specifically, I've only played some of it recently for a thing™, as far as I understand I'm still not in the "actual game" as I haven't left Flying Waters yet. Not hooked on the story, find main character kinda annoying. Been spoiled some that sounds like improvements later.

Hate is a strong word, but I love very few of them. The combat systems are often rote and uninspiring to me. One standout for me was Eternal Sonata, but then I'm less likely to check all games in the genre.

Mostly the same here. It just be like that these days. I try to instead reply a bit more to stay connected (like here now), I just don't have time/capacity for takes if anyone really notices them. I'd rather play video games etc. when I clock out.

Indeed! I won't say more now, but happy to compare notes after you've given it a good whirl.

I quite liked it! A little more tedious perhaps, especially after the first couple days, definitely a little grind in there, but I've kept coming back to it several evenings as a relaxing treat.
