Does this mean we have to rest hopes in things like inZOI? I haven't been following it but months and months ago it looked promising. Still early access at the moment.

Making generalities doesn't help our situation. It contributes to the divisiveness already being pushed by the media, social media, and too many politicians.

I'd like to see the companies many of us grew up and loved (ok, all game dev companies) use the money and efforts to make more of what made us like them in the first place... instead of impairing gaming industry creativity and attempting to monopolize mechanics
