We don’t do subtext anymore. We barely do surface text. And we certainly don’t go in for any critical analysis like some kind of woke academic! Now shut up, my AI cartoons are starting.

Appreciate the insight and coverage as always.

Was Nunziata wondering over potential political cost/retaliation from the Province as a result of Council voting? Or a remark on the lines of “wasted tax dollars” etc. discussing/voting the issue at all?

Holyday’s opposition is of course a surprise to no one.

“The GTAA says claims that fees will increase are “purely speculative””

Deflecting b.s. Of course it’s speculation, it hasn’t happened yet. But it’s speculation based on past conduct.

GTAA certainly won’t eat the cost of this expansion so, who pays? Passengers and/or taxpayers.

Surely coincidental that the man the Initiative is meant to help reputation-wash has begun pivoting his company toward AI-hype products. Surely.

Can’t imagine who’ll end up controlling the data & any IP to come from the work. Or which company’s “AI” will benefit from uncompensated model training

Who said “taking stock”? Progressive wealth taxation more in line /w what USA had ca. mid 20th c. would see a 90% rate over, say, $10 billion net-worth

Also, even market defenders agree SP is now disconnected from fundamentals for many equities. Vibes-based valuation ≠ justified infinite enrichment

It’s also more than just “rent control.”

It’s a proposal to allow landlords to modify *rental payments* & tenancy *unilaterally* under the guise of: “adjust(ing) tenancy arrangements based on market conditions, personal needs, or business strategies.”

It’s “fuck you, pay me” for housing. #Ontario

Lecornu has “dismissed” implementing the Zucman tax, no budget will pass.

The Left of the Assembly repeatedly make clear to the PM meaningful implementation of a Zucman-like system must occur to have their votes. If instead Lecornu chooses to court the far-right to pass the budget, woe be France.

Well, she only has to make sure 1/3+1 votes go her way to prevent overturning. But I take your point it’s not rule by fiat. And because we know the usual suspects on Council will sprint to the media, and residents continue to eat their tripe up, there’s certainly still risk involved.

Globe is owned by the Thomson family via Woodbridge Co., they also own Osmington Gerofsky Development Corp. OGDC manages retail at Union Station & other commercial property.

The Board is publishing propaganda b/c ownership stand to lose money if those who can WFH do. Also, it’s just badly reasoned.
October 3, 2025 at 3:50 PM
If that wasn’t bad enough, the Editorial Board’s (great way to avoid accountability) reasoning collapses under the barest interrogation.

The piece is also, of course, written in the most condescending tone possible.

All very rich coming from an industry that went hybrid/remote long before COVID.
