I probably could have cheaper hobbies, but no, I play video games.

Absolutely correct. It's almost staggering how bad they are in 5 especially.

Congratulations Noel!

You'll be more dependent on potions for healing since Red Mages don't get party wide healing, but that's fine I wager. I had your party but with a White Mage instead of Red and it's crazy how good fighters are and how much damage Black Belts do eventually.

At this point I don't disagree with you at all, for the record. Earlier parts of these threads and one person you quoted kinda came off as if Nintendo can't or shouldn't make 2D an option and I chafed against that reasoning. I agree it's likely Nintendo being weird, I just wish they weren't.
September 13, 2025 at 11:46 PM
Alright I'll admit I immediately realized I missed one conversation thread where that WAS the point, won't pretend otherwise. My bad.

I'm gonna be honest James, I haven't seen much of the greed arguments in these threads, just people mad there's no option. I personally don't think it's them being greedy even, I just think this sucks. Yeah, it is them being weird, but I think we're allowed to say it sucks.

I don't really understand the purity of the original experience argument. Sure they're not entirely equivalent examples, but NSO generally adds save states and rewind to consoles that obviously never had that. Skyward Sword HD lets you use stick controls instead of enforcing motion controls.
September 13, 2025 at 11:30 PM
I'm gonna be honest, I don't buy that as valid justification. Virtual Boy emulators have been letting you play these games in 2D for years. Acting like I HAVE to play Wario Land in a 3D headset for it to function doesn't fly. New releases can offer more options. The real NES didn't have save states!
September 13, 2025 at 11:11 PM
None of the other NSO consoles REQUIRE you buy the reproduction controller. What's the deal here? It's cool as hell this exists but why in the world is it not an optional accessory?
September 13, 2025 at 11:00 PM
I think acting like Nintendo can't have 2D as an option in their emulator when existing VB emulators do exactly that is strange. The reproduction headset and 3D is cool! Making it mandatory is absurd. I don't have to buy the GC controller to play GC games on NSO.

I had never used an impact driver before my current job and my first thought was "Wait this is nice, why the hell do I not own one?"

Yeah I don't really see trusts having a big impact because unless you're trying to farm dungeon sets for glam, you're probably never going to do that dungeon again without getting it in a roulette, which inherently means you're with other players.

Yeah BlueSky is ROUGH on image quality. I took some CRT photos that looked nice I thought and posting them here they looked awful. Can't say I've bothered since.

You're right, I should replay 4.

The death stream isn't complete until you destroy the disc on camera after finishing it.

Cookin with gas here.

These look fantastic. Is there any particular trick to not losing a lot of image quality when uploading to BlueSky? I'm only just starting to mess with CRT photography and the end results aren't perfect, but they get kinda mangled when uploaded.
