Neo defies “fate” sort of, completely rebelling against the system, which a core part of the story for his love of Trin.
Clive doesn’t have that arc. It’s more of him refusing Ultima who tries to abuse him and him believing in Cid’s cause. Jill is just there to help and they happen to be in love.

I can forgive Clive because he too is tender to Jill the way Neo is to Trinity and holds her in the same reverence. It’s just that the story focuses on something else and their romance is just a small part of it, in comparison to neotrin’s romance being the center of the entire saga.

I’m also thinking about a friend who ship ClivexJill is also a neotrin friend and Trinity is similar to Mikasa. But there’s angst between neotrin that I don’t think eremika and clivejill own. Eren is clearly 😒 quest of vengeance or whatever

I wish there could be more yanno. I wish Jill is explored more than just a once abused Dominant and Clive’s childhood friend/faithful wife

I felt like the Iron Kingdom part could be explored more too. It all went too fast. I get the game is putting emphasis to The Hideaway, the residence, and their allies, and these whole game of thrones conquest is already convoluted on its own but ☹️

I was thinking about why Jill doesn’t give me enough oomph the way Rinoa and Garnet do as a love interest. She feels a little “eh” as a character too, no more a loyal follower to Clive’s cause, a good wife and that’s it. Her arc only seems to stop at the Iron Kingdom part
