for my typing style, it feels best when angled inwards like on ur board. when arranged like this, it feels diff from staggered but not crazy. some of the ergonomics are lost but in exchange:
1. easy to put useful "grids" on fn layers. i have a full numpad on fn2 and f-row on fn3.
2. smaller size.
