Sometimes I wonder if the fact that we (transmen) are so often invisible makes transwomen more vulnerable in the bathroom fights????

I don't know-- I have actually considered this. As a trans man I do think there may be some value to having trans men make a point about the bathroom bans. The specific targeting of transwomen needs to be challenged in a concrete way.
