As a former scientist who had to compete for grants, I find it shocking that people would think that the NIH would just fund random research. You've got to justify the heck out of your grant to get funding.

Until a week ago, the Constitution and the laws had the highest power in this country, no one was above them. That is no longer the case, what a huge setback. 😭
