That's about what I heard. It was more about the dehumanization of what fascists deem to be undesirable people as opposed to what Steam claimed it was.
Steam absolutely shouldn't have banned it. They have age restrictions for a reason.

Even though I feel like I would never want to personally play this game, it still should be allowed to exist. It's entirely justified to have art that exists as disturbing material.

I don't really mind cosmetic ones (I have a few of those myself), but if they affect gameplay at all, into the trash they go.
