So far as I can tell, the issue is Gyre is obnoxiously powerful in 99% of content. AFK against lv1000+ Steal Path enemies with a good enough build.

My girlfriend did not buy me Prime Access for Christmas just for me to not fucking play my favorite frame. Absolutely fucking insane.

Warframe really has this amazing way to bring me all the way up to a peak, and then do something that makes me wanna just close the fucking game.

It just feels BAD to come into brand new content knowing you could feasibly solo it, and then be told "No. Fuck off and play a different frame for this."

I did enjoy the new story tho. That part was good.

Also one of the bosses is an archwing fight, but the missions does not indicate this will be the case in anyway. Which means you can be left with your leveling (or mostly unused) archwing and be left in the most boring war of attrition imaginable.

This makes it impossible to solo with any consistency on Gyre because you will just get 1-shot without much telegraph. You cannot self revive.

Incredible to release a prime frame and then design the content counter to that frame's core features.

this is ignoring that the decent maps seem to be laid out specifically to occasionally reset mechanics like rotor swell, and then toss you into a boss fight with exactly one (1) enemy, leaving you without defenses (requires rotor swell) or reliable damage (requires rotor swell).

GOTTA DO IT. GOTTA GET THAT ARCHON SHARD MODULE SO YOU CAN DO END GAME CONTENT. LITERALLY REQUIRED. POORLY FUCKING EXPLAINED. WORSE UNLOCK THAN ANYTHING ELSE TO THAT POINT. AAAAAAAAAAAAA

The systems (not counting the fringe end of modding) are not actually that hard to understand. You just need a human to tell you, because the fucking game isn't going to.

Once for that. And once because the game will just let you march your merry ass onto that planet with nothing but a fucking mk.1 bow, essentially soft locking you until you either give up entirely or get a different weapon.

YUP. Some of which are REQUIRED for end game progression or just the cool shit you see.

Oh you wanted to slot Archon shards? Farm this thing that's like 2 years old and is in no way connected to anything you thought you'd need to do.

Wanna make a cat? Go farm DNA on mars. We never said how.

Only very very recently is there any assumption that you don't know anything. You will still need someone who knows everything to help you understand the most basic things to progress the most basic of interactions at times because the games conveyance is AWFUL.

and I still like the game. Somehow.

The game is clearly a mess of things they thought would be cool at the time, didn't think too hard about, tested with accounts that already had too much loot anyway, and then called good.

The devs actually play their game too much, and clearly don't test with naked accounts or uneducated testers.

The game is a buggy mess in ways that just fuck up entire missions. Spy missions are bad and buggy as a whole. Several plot beats were ruined by bugs for me. The FTP mechanics can be inexcusably irritating to get you to pay money. The new player experience is AWFUL without extreme hand holding.

Four different times for four different reasons, I hat hard quit moments before trying the game again.

I literally cannot defend it for these things. The game is one of those "this game fucking sucks" *has 400+ hours in it* kind of games.
