Multipassionate, and ardent show-upper, hope-holder, integrity-keeper, standards-bearer but subversive line-toeer, foundation-builder, language-crafter, thing-doer, laugh-sharer, hype-giver,and heart-filler. All good things start with a hello. Say hi!
You mean 2/3 of voters polled?

Love your lists, Ian. Have you listened to any of the new Elton and Brandi Carlile album?

What I will never understand is how people don't realize that what they do to one of us they do to all of us—no one is getting a pass on what's happening in this country.

Good reminder. And still, I should probably be a bit more mindful of the businesses I support. If businesses I stop supporting (regardless of the reason) have customers to replace me, I'm fine with that.

Snopes says this isn't true. 🤔

Feels petty to me, but all name calling and general snarkiness does. Things are bad enough without our doing that.

@johnpavlovitz.bsky.social have you seen the documentary The Armor of Light? I think that, plus the piece in Mother Jones would be good for all as it explains so much we know is happening.

The movie is available to rent on YT, and here's the link to the article: www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
I was once an architect of the Christian nationalist agenda. I regret it all.
When religion is placed at the service of a political party, it corrupts both.

@tizzyent.bsky.social I thought you'd find this plan compelling. ;)

Nope.

Wow!! That's quite a recommendation; thanks, Ian! I'll watch for it. I loveeeeeeeeee movies, in part because I have aphantasia and lack the ability to imagine/visualize things, which makes reading (fiction, specifically, as well as memoir) no fun for me.

The Dylan biopic? No; I missed it when it was in the theaters but look forward to see it when it streams. Have you?

It’s one of my fav albums to blast on a pretty day with my sunroof open.
February 20, 2025 at 3:36 AM
Mine, too. I wanted more!
February 20, 2025 at 3:35 AM
Substack and Nazis? What have I missed?

It landed me in urgent care a week ago—I thought I was gonna die. It was so much worse than Covid was for me. Hope you’re feeling better!

I don't know how they live with being so wilfully ignorant.

Follow Kristen Browde @newgirlny-fl.bsky.social. I don't know if she's still doing them, but on Insta, she was doing weekly reports on this exact thing.

I wonder how that quote would change (if at all) if the only thing keeping a person decent is the FEAR of divine retribution. I genuinely think that's what many Evangelicals are about.

Shut the front door. That’s IT! Thank you, Ian! (Goodbye IMDB!)
January 25, 2025 at 1:10 AM
I wish there were an app that gave me the info I want that isn’t IMDB, but if it exists, I haven’t found it. 🤷‍♀️

It's gorgeous!
