Inspired by Silent Hill F. I love demon foxes so much. I just think they're neat. Doodle sculpt in Zbrush, rendered in Blender.
The bust of a demonic fox with wildly exaggerated features and black eyes, although the third eye on its forehead has a glowing, red iris with broad, dilated pupil. A small foxfire is suspended over it, vaguely reflected in the void of the pupil. It has a broadly grinning mouth with too many sharp teeth and two, lolling tongues. A glowing, round jewel is suspended between them. Three other small foxfire flames surround it, adorning a mysterious, swirling texture behind the fox's head. The same fox head rendered from a 3/4 right side view. The swirling painted textures are more easily viewable on its neck. The same fox head at a slightly more left-sided, 3/4 view. The irregular structure in the background illuminated by some soft backlighting frames the foreground nicely at this angle.

A little worldbuilding info card, primarily for my own use, of one of the many animals used as mounts in Kieran's world. Plainsrunners are descended from a roadrunner-like ancestor and feature prominently in the religions and cultures of people on their home continent.

I reminisced a bit about FFXIV today for the first time in... what, three years? It's been a while.

I know I likely didn't say it at the time - 24/25 was a really rough period in my life dealing with a job that was mentally destroying me and back to back deaths in the family - but I'll say it now.

Merfolk hunters make a living traveling from ocean to ocean, hunting down and slaying aquatic monstrosities too formidable for the local rangers. It is lonely work, and many eventually opt to become adventurers.

Image of Oceiros the Consumed King from Dark Souls III, hunched over and clutching an infant, his son, Ocelotte, in his clawed hands protectively. His head is turned towards the viewer, glaring with empty eye sockets set in a vaguely humanoid face despite the draconic snout. What can be seen of the background is reminiscent of his boss arena; dark and medieval gothic with a watery floor. Surrounding him is an ornate frame also reminiscent of the architecture found there with a silver shield mounted at the top depicting a stylized bird indicative of Oceiros' emblem as seen on the Cathedral Knight Greatshield item in the game. The frame contains a curved arch and small towers, coiled in thick tree roots echoing those found in Oceiros' boss arena, the Consumed King's Garden hidden beneath Lothric Castle. Oceiros is an optional boss in Dark Souls III, and in the final release version of the game, Ocelotte, the infant prince, is invisible. However, in an earlier build, it was not, but half way through the fight, Oceiros would finally lose what was left of his mind and smash the infant into the floor. The baby would continue its cries even as the man dragon fought the player, slashing at them with the body of the infant still clutched in his claws. In the final release, however, this was removed, and its implied that Oceiros, in his addled state, may have forgotten that he was holding his invisible son, becoming enraged that Ocelotte is hiding from him, Oceiros abandons his humanity completely and begins attacking the player like a beast gone mad. Here, I depicted the child as visible, as I felt it provided a fairly striking impression being held possessively in the clutches of this twisted creature. Crop of the previous image, a closer look at Oceiros protectively holding his infant son, his short wings are spread slightly in a defensive position over his back, partly shielding his upper torso from the viewer. The details on the "feathers" of the wings are clearly more fleshy and arranged in a more bird-like fashion when compared to the game's actual model, which depicts his wings as being composed of clumps of translucent membranes sprouting out more from his back than the wing arm itself. This was more or less by accident as I did not have good reference images at the time of rendering his wings.
