Treating ‘rights’ as pillars propping up governments only ever hands more legitimacy to the state, and reduces them to privileges doled out or withdrawn by politicians.

Summers warning about authoritarianism only scratches the surface. States don’t merely drift toward tyranny, they’re built on it.
Cutting off statisticians, gutting the press, attacking universities, these aren’t aberrations they’re the state’s toolkit for controlling knowledge and crushing dissent.

You’re right that many pre-colonial tribal societies, like the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), practiced genuine bottom-up decision-making, consensus councils, and clan-based accountability. Although some tribal norms enforced gender roles or excluded certain voices. At best we take inspiration.

Tyrants may fear a lone thinker—but they truly fear a community of acting, dreaming people.

They’ll throw every cop, chopper, and drone at catching one man, but never interrogate the systems that produce gun violence in the first place.

The courts halting one racist tactic doesn’t make the state any less violent, it just shows which tools they can’t get away with. Justice isn’t hiding behind a judge’s gavel, it’s in communities organizing their own defense.

While Democrats debate which face to slap on their circus, working people still have no real say.
Whether it’s Harris or someone else, it’s the same game of bosses swapping seats.

As a complete dipshit, I’d just chug the thing.

This brings up a question alll have wondered…

Is fighting a humanoid animal still animal abuse?

Of course the worst people end up with all the toys, they rig the game to concentrate money, guns, and authority in their hands.

Honestly you’d be surprised how much live political assassinations, executions, suicides there are gets pretty grim.
August 3, 2025 at 10:16 AM
Hope it’s wooly good.

Four years out and they’re already spending millions to rule you.
Elections aren’t a contest of ideas, they’re an arms race of money and influence.
August 3, 2025 at 10:06 AM
The Supreme Court deciding who ‘gets’ political power is the same as a king deciding who gets to speak.
Whether they protect it or strip it away, the power still belongs to them, not you.
August 3, 2025 at 10:02 AM
Nice words, but in reality governments have always worked for the profit, honor, and private interests of the few.
If they truly served the ‘common good,’ we wouldn’t need to be ruled, we’d just cooperate as equals.

Whether it’s Westminster or Brussels, you’re still ruled.
29% want one master, 71% want another.

When the powerful abuse children, they protect each other.
When the powerless resist, they’re crushed.
Unity as a people means ending the systems that shield predators in robes, suits, or uniforms. And building a world where communities protect the vulnerable, not the abusers.
