Love that my "stand up for human Rights" Palestine lawn sign made it into the newsletter of one of my fave fabric shops, featuring an outfit I made with one of their fabrics. ✌🏽

Social media breaks are so great. But sometimes I do want to share a bit of my life with you all, so here is a crochet project I'm finishing up this long weekend. These are the first granny squares I've ever made and I'm super proud of finally figuring out this crochet thing as a leftie. #crochetsky

Came home to this flyer in my mailbox. Not surprised by the scare tactics, the misinformation, the attempt to fool voters. unreal but here we are, and there are so many reasons why we are here right now.

Creative cleanse: I have always wanted to make my own Eid Al Fitr outfit and I'm finally doing it this year. I've been saving this beautiful cotton lawn for the occasion. My pattern is a kurta & Palazzo pants set. It will be lightweight enough to wear in Pakistan this summer too. 🪡🧵#sewingsky

Emergency protest in uptown Waterloo tomorrow to demand an end to the genocide of Palestinians. ICYMI, Israel broke the ceasefire and killed more than 400 Palestinians and injured hundreds more in Gaza. If you can make it: Wednesday, March 19 at 5:30 uptown Waterloo. ✊🏽

Knitting a Hayworth cropped coat with this wonderfully fluffy yet frustrating Lion Brand shaggy chic yarn. It will be SO worth it in the end. #knitting 🧶

I'm finally cutting into this gorgeous Elie Whitaker jersey to make a t-shirt dress. Perfect amount of colour to cheer my spirits on what is usually one of the worst days of the year (time change). #sewsky

It snowed a lot in southwestern Ontario this weekend so we made the most of it with a wintery walk. ❄️

Just discovering garment sewing sky and so thrilled to see some familiar folks here. I'm sewing some cozy wear this snowy afternoon.

Coffee! Sweater! I mostly knit this sweater during classes. Worn fresh off the needles earlier this week. I used Drops Andes yarn and the pattern is the I'm Obsessed Jumper by Beatific Brenda. 🧶

Hey Waterloo region, we are 64 per cent white but the staff at our only daily newspaper is 100 per cent white. Your only daily newspaper is also more than 85 per cent male. Think about these things when you consume news.

Anyone who knows Adam Cooper shouldn't be surprised by this, BUT wow the way he doubled down was just disgusting. Dude, just fucking stop. You were not "misunderstood" you are just a hate-filled little man. www.cambridgetoday.ca/local-news/i...

Referring to this tweet that just enraged me this morning. I canceled my Globe subscription a few years ago because I literally couldn't afford to keep it. But also, good riddance if this is the kind of attitude they have. So belittling and demeaning.

Time to try a new craft. Stabbing bits of wool sounds fun and cathartic.✌🏽

Gross. You can't pick and choose who is worthy of your care and support if you represent All Ontarians. Unhoused folks are being further dehumanized by politicians all over this province. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

I feel emotional, inspired and so affirmed after volunteering at Laurier's teacher diversity event today. Not only did I talk to some awesome high school kids, teachers and faculty. I also learned a lot about myself and why I chose this new path.

Yesterday's action in Cambridge ON had a great turnout. And despite all the media advisories sent to all local outlets, no one from local media showed up. It's a shame because most people have no idea that a business in their BACKYARD makes weapons parts for Israel to kill Palestinians.

Love it! My pandemic @effinbirds.com purchase is also still a favourite. I bought this mug for Zoom meetings 😅
