It wasn't a first edition copy. It was a reprint that my mom found for me at Borders.

None of the characters. That's part of why I DNFed it and gave it a one. The concept was the appeal but the writing felt stilted. Like she was trying to hard to mimic another story but fell flat. No world building. Just nope. Sorry. I'm glad you liked it though; it just wasn't for me.
