I had every intention of showing you my Saw tattoos (plural!) and then completely froze up when the time came. That said, it was so great getting to meet you, and maybe next time I’ll be a little less scatterbrained!

I’m pretty sure he said that when Shawnee was suffocating him for Adam’s death scene that he really was struggling to breathe, but she thought he was acting, so she didn’t let up right away.

God, gallstones are awful and no joke, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. If this is a recurring issue, hopefully you can get a scheduled cholecystectomy before it becomes an emergency. Recovery is kind of brutal but pretty quick as abdominal procedures go when it’s done laparoscopically.

EXACTLY. So much of the tragedy of it is watching how the disease is slowly changing him. We all -Blake, his family, the viewers- can see it happening and are helpless to stop it. A sudden, drastic transformation simply would not make sense and would lack the emotional impact the story deserves.

“I don’t like the character design of the werewolf”. DID WE WATCH THE SAME MOVIE? Because from where I sat in the theater three times over the course of a week and a half, the character design was an integral part of the storytelling.

I see unfounded criticism of this movie and get so worked up that I’ve half a mind to drive a half hour to the nearest Waffle House looking for a messy fight just to burn off the energy. Don’t make me whip an All-Star special across the dining room to make a point because I WILL.

I’ve made so many great friends, overcome major fears of flying and traveling alone in order to go to LA for the 20th anniversary screening, and have found myself more creatively inspired than I have been in years, and I cannot possibly thank @conanthecontrarian.bsky.social enough for that.

I met him a while back at one of his Princess Bride meet and greets, and I swear half of my time talking was spent shaking hands and taking turns thanking one another. Absolutely one of the most kind, humble, down to earth guys I’ve ever had the joy of meeting.

Horror fans and metalheads are the sweetest, loveliest people on the planet. I could be biased as I’m guilty on both counts, but the love I’ve felt and friends I’ve made in fan spaces and movie theaters and at shows is just unmatched.

All this a couple weeks after flying across the country to uhhhh watch Saw in the theater.

My brain looked at this and read “Don’t just see fucking one Saw” and it reminded me of the time we watched Saw in the theater, drove across the parking lot and ate lunch, and then immediately went back to the same seats in the same theater and watched it again.
