I cannot believe I'm actually writing these words: Wanderstop is OUT NOW!!

Although it's difficult to communicate just how meaningful this moment is to me, I've done my best to put my thoughts into a personal note. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy the game 💖
Today is the launch of Wanderstop! I've been writing/directing this game for many years, pouring my absolute heart and soul into it. I put everything I had into it, left absolutely nothing on the table, and in the end created something that I'm deeply proud of. Many of you are fans of my previous works, The Stanley Parable and The Beginner's Guide, and obviously Wanderstop is a completely different sort of game! To be honest it's kind of terrifying, for there to be such expectations based on my previous work and to know that some people will inevitably be disappointed with this new direction. At the same time, this is the game I absolutely knew without a doubt that I needed to make. When I went to the creative wellspring to ask for inspiration, this project is what I received. It is deeply personal to me, and I can only ask that you give it a shot. But this project was also an incredible group effort, a phenomenal collaboration amongst artists. I am so grateful to every member of the Ivy Road team, their hard work and dedication is the entire reason this game exists. To every one of them, thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart. And lastly thank you to Annapurna for your unwavering belief in this game over the years, you gave us far more time and resources than we deserved and for that I will be eternally grateful. Alright, I'm gonna go have a cup of tea.

watching streamers play the wanderstop demo & react to alta's anims like blasting away bushes with the basket or dunking seeds into the ground is so satisfying

Alta's gameplay animations were all me and it's rly validating getting these reactions. i animated her that way on purpose. it's how she Is
