UPDATE: Police operation - Croydon Park. Sunday, 05 October 2025 09:50:07 PM Man arrested as police operation at Croydon Park remains ongoing. Police were called to Georges River Road, near the intersection of Brighton Avenue, about 7.45pm today (Sunday 5 October 2025), after reports of a shooting. The area was locked down by police with specialist resources attending to assist. About 9.30pm, a man was arrested in a building on Georges River Road and firearms have been seized. At this stage, police have been told a man was taken to Canterbury Hospital suffering a gunshot wound. A number of other people have reported injuries. Road closures remain with local traffic diversions in place.
