Sneak peek into this week’s #easyautumn prompts because I’m actually kind of pleased with the shading in today’s drawing. What I’m learning is that when I fight against my instinct for making it (far too) subtle, the 3D shape really starts to come to life.

In the spirit of creating more, here’s my first finished object of 2025. The next pair will be more colorful, but this yarn is part of a bird-themed series from West Yorkshire Spinners. (Specifically, the owl colorway.🦉) They’re super cozy, and I’m wearing them today. Wool socks forever.

I made this little headphone case last week using reclaimed hardware and fabric scraps from other projects, and it was so useful for travel. I simultaneously love it to death and never want to sew anything this small and fiddly ever again. 😂
