Apropos of nothing...here's my Gidget.

Good morning!

I flew there from California to adopt a dog eleven years ago! I made it as far as the airport where I had a sandwich & met my new dog (who bit me immediately) and then get on a plane with him back to California. Does that count?

The scar is almost gone but Iggy is still with me and super sweet.

Two years ago, my little girl had a near-fatal case of pancreatitis & was in the hospital for three nights. When I got her home, we were cuddling on the couch & she started kissing my hand & up my arm & finally all over my face. She’s never done that before. It was definitely love & gratitude.

Making my dad’s recipe for spaghetti sauce today. Lost him to dementia and then again to covid. He left me the recipe. The other big thing he left me was the inability to drive past a field of bales of hay without pointing at it and saying, “Hey!” Even when I’m alone in the car.

This is my Gidget refusing to go outside to pee in the rain. I can’t blame her a bit.

I found this little girl in February. I posted everywhere but no one came forward so she’s my Gidget now. I lost my little girl (doggie) a few weeks later at 17 years old and I’m convinced that she brought Gidget to me. Thank god for dogs is 100% spot on.
