"You can’t just build a neighborhood and then figure out how people will get to and from it… If we’re to provide housing that’s affordable to everyone, accessible and sustainable, then we must invest in cycling and public transport. And €1 billion is a pretty big statement of intent." bit.ly/48lM5xC

Ouch, that's awful :(

Admittedly found it frustrating (& scary) but that's all down to the lack of funding. Haven't cycled much lately as patch is not a nice route if you time it wrong, but alternatives take ages (walking or bus + walking). Chose patch back when it had a better/closer bus :/

There have been positives like experiencing the joy of #ActiveTravel but the lack of infrastructure, busy roads and bad/scary experiences has taken away most of the joy.

Glad I challenged myself though because it's really opened my eyes.

They do indeed. I think Chichester Harbour is, or has been, the main area for winter ones with smaller numbers appearing elsewhere in the Solent

It's nice to finally have enough information to do something rather than nothing!

Alas in the UK public health also limits access to vaccines which is bad as I agree with you it's worth getting them if you can.

Thanks for the insight

...and overhead people regurgitating misinformation about masks etc. Plus others are confused why a few of us do wear respirators as UK public health only ever briefly talked about cloth "face coverings", + attending work or school when ill still seems far too normalised :(

Sad times. In the UK at least, I doubt most people are well informed enough to really make an informed decision. People I would usually consider well educated tell me "it's just a cold" or "just flu" or mention "anxiety" which they wouldn't say for other public health stuff like ticks

To add to this, wearing a well fitted respirator also helps a lot too. Wish I'd realised that long before the covid pandemic began!

Glad you had some success even if it wasn't as good as hoped!

Thanks Dave 🙂 That's a shame - was hoping all your efforts would be rewarded 😕
