Wanted to share this great, great photo from the Chicago Tribune, taken September 19 at the ICE detention facility in Broadview IL, outside Chicago. Protesters there have been tear gassed and shot with pepper balls. An ICE goon threw a Dem House candidate on the ground (she’s a little tiny thing).

This is friend of mine at the Broadview, IL protest at the ICE facility there. Same protest where they threw a Democratic candidate for the US House on the ground, and I do mean the guy picked her up and slammed her to the ground. I hope she sues their asses off. She could really have been injured.

I have a mix of natives and cultivars all over my yard, both front and back. I can’t do the labor (or afford to have it done) to get rid of all the grass in the back, but it’s all gone in the front and on most of the parkway. Lots of bees and butterflies.
