I just paid 35% of my income to federal income tax and wondered the same thing. I have no problem paying my state taxes right now but it grates my nerves to pay the federal government when they are the oppressors.

Exactly this! The % of tax we pay is considerable, not even including sales taxes etc. Yet we are not wealthy enough to shelter funds, play stock market or gamble on crypto. How do ppl who make less get by? College must be out of the question, they can’t do maintenance on their homes etc. #flattax

A chunk of $$$ is going to space x for a stupid “mars moonshot.” Mars will never be habitable. And yet we wet our pants over a gantry catching a rocket. The fan club over there is seriously devoted including scientists.
