So much good happened this summer! Presentations! Incorporations! Research! Oh my. Here’s a clip from the UCL presentation trip. I expanded my mug library of course.

For those local to MN you know we had a pretty major storm event last night, with 5 tornadoes in the county and a couple nearby Ranchette.

But human and beasts alike are good here.

Ted, 🐩, is doing his imitation of a tornado by running in circles around the shrubs in the barnyard.

Through it all, the simple joys sustain 🐦 🩵 Peeping the robin’s nest in my eaves. Can’t use my porch light until they fly but who cares, moonlight can sustain me until then.

Time to close #tulipwatch2025 for the year, and transition officially into sweet birdsong days.

Have this little robin’s nest up high in the back deck, some pretty iris and I spy ponies : a few video cameras installed in the horse paddocks & pasture.

My 1000 lb, 18 year old kid needed a visit from the vet this morning, on the holiday weekend. Bali (my riding horse) seems to be fine now with some meds on board and just some careful monitoring ahead.

I however need a sedative.

Here also is the IRL version of the HCF from last night. The recipe gives two options for garnish : orange rind for humans, olive for AIs (due to the surprisingly garnish illustration generated from MidJourney). I opted for a cyborg option and wrapped the olive w/an orange rind.

this perfect red tall classic. I think there are more coming, but who knows. 😃 🌷

I wasn’t able to attend the memorial services for my mom’s brother Curt in person today, but think he’d agree with the song choice.

Week 8

Every year the tulips are different, and it’s fun to see them change. They are popping up in groups this year but not yet a big display. A cluster of deep mascara reds, the pink & green parrots in full glow up and

#BreakfastBurrito 🚂 meal prep back in action. I’ve been a bit off my game the last few weeks but back into meal prep. This week’s was Turkey Taco flavors.

Ground turkey taco seasoned filling plus the usual cheesie, eggie, beanie hummus and rice layers.

Ted the Poodle is looking bashful, making amends after swiping some baked potatoes that were cooling on the counter. He says it was totally worth it. 😉 🐩

Spring vibes now out in full force with the green pastures and song birds singing.

First blooms! And it’s a whole sea of sunshine tulips, that sunshine yellow was Mom’s favorite.

The 16th (yesterday) is a remembrance day for our Mom each year & these tulips popping open in the morning was such a sweet, fun ray of sunshine.

City Satellite Office bloomed this delicate lovely pink & white bloom this week and the outdoor bed is coming up strong. Poodle Tip-Toes for scale as Ted was camera shy this week. 🐩 🌷

Keep the sunshine 🌞 and rain ☔️ pouring in, the spring beauty is just beginning 🌈 🐝 🌷 💕

Inside, this variegated red opened up in one morning as a surprise on break between calls. More to open up at both Ranchette and Satellite site.

Vibing our way into spring one bloom at a time.

Week 4

A bit of ice overnight, but don’t fret that won’t hurt our mountain blooms. Looks like it will be a bumper crop outdoors, so many green shoots popping up. The extra rain this week should really help - I may not like this damp cold weather but the tulips will.
