Interesting! This book did not tell about the grammar of Navajo. It did say that Navajo was hard to learn.

Languages are so interesting! I got the feeling that the Navajo code uses English grammar? With Navajo words (the code itself?) That was the impression I got.

Ned wasn't a real person, but the author Joseph Bruchac researched a lot and based him on the real men.

Living in Japan, I have learned a LOT that I never knew when I lived in the U.S. And this book helped me learn even more, focusing on the actual battles on the islands.
