This whole mess is just so incredibly sad. We watched how a Netflix doc on that nutso mayor of Toronto, Ford, and how he managed to win, and Trump used the same tactics. The difference is that Ford really cared about the people who voted for him. And Canadians got wise to his lies. Better media.

Nonetheless, it's really really stupid to wave Mexican flags while protesting in America. Wave American flags! Trump is not America. And we should be refusing to surrender our democracy to him.

My husband and I (in our 70s) compete each morning using Merlin. We have different phones so different mics. We go out on the porch at daybreak and for the next hour we're competing to see who gets the most interesting list.

It absolutely is. We at our house lay this whole Trump nightmare squarely at the feet of Bernie Sanders. History will too.

Tom's not wrong though. We may want him to be wrong, but he's not wrong. If we had 50 million people peacefully marching on DC, that would be helpful. But a few hundred people, some of them lighting fire to cars, or bashing in the windows of businesses, or blocking traffic on bridges - not helpful.

Still, of groups sampled, Musk got the highest % support from Dems.
I mention this because some of us are old enough to remember back when the Nazi verbiage he began spewing after taking over Twitter would have been absolutely shocking coming from Musk.
